Belgian Watermaals (Project Pen)
Belgian Watermaals are the lesser-known cousins of the Belgian d’Uccles and Belgian d’Anvers. These adorable little birds are even smaller in frame than the d’Anvers, however they are not at all small in the personality department! Watermaals have cute little tassels on their heads along with the beards and muffs, making them just a little bit more extra than their non-tassled cousins. :) These birds are also unique because of their trifed (three spikes instead of one) rose comb.
Chicks from this project pen will be black, self-blue, white, or cuckoo and may not conform to the expected standards of a Watermaal at this time. They may or may not have tassels, may have vaulted skulls, may not have a trifed comb, and they may be slightly off type, however if you want a chance at owning some of these amazing little birds this could be your chance! I plan to keep most of the chicks that hatch from this pen except when they have obvious non-Watermaal traits that I don’t want to keep in my breeding project.
I may also from time to time, have grow outs available. Most often they will be cockerels and/or roosters, but occasionally I may have a pullet or two. Please contact me for availability and price.
